Spring Competition | Albany Law School
The Gabrielli National Family Law Competition is held each year at Albany Law School focusing on current issues in the field of family law.Last year’s problem addressed whether a provision in a separation agreement requiring the noncustodial parent to pay “college tuition” obligates him to pay his child’s tuition at a trade school and for longer than four years. Competitors also argued whether an indigent parent must be provided with counsel when he faces incarceration for civil contempt due to his failure to pay child support.
